The 6th annual Gourmet Garden, a food and wine tasting event sponsored by the Zonta Club of Trenton/Mercer, will take place October 1, 2009, at The Hamilton Manor, 30 Route 156 (at route 130 S), Hamilton, NJ from 6-9pm.  The 2009 Gourmet Garden will prove to be a fine dining experience providing guests with a tasting of the finest foods from area restaurants, a sampling of wines provided by vendors of Glendale Liquors, and the opportunity to bid on spectacular specialty baskets.  Ben Shen of BTP Studio will photograph the event.  Proceeds from this event benefit Crawford House to pay for urgent dental care for Mercer County women and will also benefit other Zonta supported community outreach programs, service projects and scholarships.

The Hamilton Manor will feature Executive Chef Megan Cattani from its restaurant, Porter House. Other featured restaurants from the Mercer County area returning from previous years include Toscano Ristorante of Bordentown; Leonardo’s II, Palace of Asia, and Vidalia from Lawrence; It’s Nutts of Titusville; Nick’s Café 72, Cairo Cakes & Pastries, and Erini Restaurant of Ewing; Mercer County Community College Hospitality Program from Hamilton; Washington Crossing Inn from Washington Crossing, PA; Cramer’s Bakery of Yardley, PA; and Grover’s Mill Coffee Company. New restaurants this year will be The Witherspoon Grill, Princeton; Café Mulino, Ewing; Trenton Kebab House, Trenton; and caterers, Madeline’s Table and Gillian’s Caterers. Glendale Liquors, Hamilton, will provide many diverse wines for tasting.
