Kieanna Childs-Alexander has garnered the title of Mrs. Mercer County New Jersey and will go on to compete at the Mrs. New Jersey United States Pageant in May, where she will join married women from across NJ to compete for a cash award, evening gown, year of image consulting, jewelry, and an all-expense paid trip to the national pageant in Las Vegas, among other prizes.  Kieanna and her husband Ken are from Trenton in Mercer County.Kieanna received her Associate in Arts and Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies from Rider University.  She will complete her Master in Arts in Human Services with a specialization in Executive Leadership in May. She is active in many community organizations which include the Martin House Learning Center Board of Directors, Mobile Meals of Trenton/Ewing Board of Directors, the Mercer County Medical Reserve Corps, and the Trenton Branch NAACP, where she serves as third vice-president.  Her platform, “Conquering Ovarian and Prostate Cancer,” seeks to help educate both men and women on the importance of early cancer detection.

As the premier pageant for New Jersey’s married women since 1990, the Mrs. New Jersey United States Pageant is an official preliminary to the Mrs. United States Pageant, and honors the achievements of the outstanding married women that call New Jersey their home.  Led by executive directors Michelle Harris Anderson (a former Miss Delaware) and Christopher Willshire of Suited To You Productions, the pageant provides New Jersey’s married women the opportunity to celebrate their intelligence, femininity and unique beauty through embracing their roles as wives, mothers, professionals, community champions, and modern women of the 21st century.  Women interested in competing must be married, at least 21 years old and a US citizen.  They must also either live, work, attend school, own/lease property or be stationed in the military in New Jersey.
