I can’t believe a year has passed since we held our launch event at the Mansion on Main Street. With 120+ women attending, it was the second largest new chapter launch in the organization’s history. And as the year progressed we continued to set records and garnish praise from the local business community and the national headquarters. We even received the “chapter to watch” award at the International Conference this past July in Dallas.

We now hold at least two Accelerated Networking™ events a month. Visit us at the Mansion on Main Street in Voorhees or at the Atlantic City Country Club in Northfield, NJ. Continue reading Happy 1st Anniversary eWomenNetwork SJ

Huntington Learning Center – Helping Students Succeed In School And Beyond

huntingtonA first-grade boy, who had come to the Huntington Learning Center two months ago with his parents, did not know his letters, numbers or phonics. Last week, he sat nervously in the center director’s office and read aloud to his parents. His father hugged him. His mother cried. And the boy, well, he beamed with pride and confidence.

Success stories are the norm at the Hamilton Huntington Learning Center, but Mark Kance, center director, was proud to share that recent one that unfolded right before his eyes. Continue reading Huntington Learning Center – Helping Students Succeed In School And Beyond

25 Ways To Say Thanks

thanksThis year, as we face financial crises and the record unemployment it may be more important than ever to find a silver lining in order to endure. There are multiple ways to brighten your smile.  The in-office light enhanced Zoom! bleaching has been proven clinically to be both safe and effective.  Zoom! whitening is a technique in which the patient’s upper and lower teeth are isolated and then the whitening gel is placed on the teeth.  The Zoom! light then shines on the teeth for three 15 minute sessions.  The teeth are rinsed and polished and the shade of the teeth is lightened usually three to five shades. The patient is then given a custom home bleaching tray with bleach to allow the process to continue to lighten for the next 3-5 days.

The Biggest Winner So Far!!

Back in June, while I was sitting in my doctor’s office, waiting for my name to be called, I picked up a copy of the Mercer County Woman.  I had a couple of minutes to wait, and I enjoyed reading this publication.  Of course, going through my mind, was momentarily having to get on the scale yet again, knowing that I have not lost any weight since my last appointment.  The front cover had a banner “The Biggest Winner’s Club” which immediately caught my eye.  I flipped to page 18 and began to read.  By the way, that was the May/June issue and I still have the copy handy to reread when I need encouragement. Ewing Independent Living

oldwomanEwing Independent Living, affordable supportive housing, a project eleven years in the making, has finally come to Mercer County!  While working as a visiting nurse and assisted living administrator, Rebecca Lynn, RN, BSN, NJCALA, clearly saw the need for affordable housing with supportive services.  Many of her patients desired an alternative to maintaining their home while trying to manage daily medical needs.  Rebecca’s vision was to construct affordable housing where residents could age safely in place, with dignity, individuality, and privacy with supportive services available on site.   Continue reading Ewing Independent Living
